I am reading ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ again. I know, I know! A lot of people perceive it as a chick flick and a new age bu**t, but I absolutely love it.
I read it a while ago, and I was bored with the part when she goes to India. I guess I was too young and inexperience to know that the story is pretty incredible and you can learn a lot about Eastern philosophy from that part.
I picked up the book a week ago, and I read 200 pages in one day. I am slowing down now as I want to savour the book.
My own journey, the things I went through in Bali, the pain after my divorce, and the things I believe in, bring me closer to the writer. So, I have read some more about Ms. Gilbert in the net, and found some nice interviews with her. I like almost everything she says. Here is one of my favourite quotes:
‘…you can’t push out darnkess. You can only bring in light. If you are in a closet and it’s black, there is no way to sweep darkness out. The only thing you can do is ignite, illuminate somehow. And the only way to get into a darkened, miserable heart is to break it’.
Do you like it?
